125th Anniversary Year-Long Reading Program

2026 is the library’s 125th anniversary! Keep an eye out for special events, displays, and activities celebrating this incredible milestone all year long!
The Library originally opened on January 12, 1901. To celebrate, we’re running a year-long reading program, starting January 12th! Every time we reach 1,901 books, we’ll have a prize drawing. There will also be monthly opportunities to win HPL swag by participating in library activities & logging books.
