Outreach

The Hutchinson Public Library provides two main outreach services to the community. HPL has a home-bound adult outreach program and a children's outreach program.

Children's Outreach

Our Children's Outreach Coordinator takes storytime out to home day cares, day care centers and preschools all over Hutchinson.  These storytimes have monthly themes, which include books, songs, activities and sometimes crafts.  During these visits, library books can be delivered for use until the next visit.  For more information on this program, please contact Amy Johnson, (620) 663-5441 x122.

Home-bound Outreach

Hutchinson Public Library staff select, check out, and deliver books and other materials to home bound adult patrons. Every two weeks, these adult patrons receive a new delivery and the staff member retrieves materials from the previous delivery.

This service is open to any adult who can't get to the library due to illness or disability. For more information, contact the Outreach Staff at (620) 663-5441 ext.116.
