• AccessSciencePremier source based on Mc-Graw Hill's Encyclopedia of Science and Technology.  Available by using this link on our Web page. 
• Ancestry.com - Library Edition. Licensed equivalent to an individual subscription for ancestry.com. This database contains information of great help to the genealogist and family researcher, including census records. Available only within the library.
• Ebsco Research.  Group of databases for periodicals research in general topics, business, health, and various professions.
• eSequels Online guide to series fiction.  Access is available outside the library using the first five digits of a current Hutchinson Public Library card.
• FirstSearch Group of databases which includes WorldCat, a worldwide listing of library resources, and Periodical Abstracts, a searchable collection of magazine and journal articles. Other databases include ERIC, an education research source, and World Almanac. Access within the library.
• Gale Testing & Education Reference Center A source of online practice tests and books to aid in college preparation, graduate school, or career changes. It is available within the library. Access within the library, or from other locations with a current Hutchinson Public Library card.
• HeritageQuest Popular genealogy database. Access within the library or, from other locations with a current Kansas Library Card.
• Kansas Library CatalogA database of library collections in Kansas. Search this to find books and magazines in area libraries. Access within the library, or from other locations with a current Kansas Library Card.
• Learning Express Library An interactive database of more than 300 practice tests to help achieve school and career goals. It is available within the library. Access within the library, or from other locations requires a current Hutchinson Public Library card.
• Mitchell Manuals OnDemand An online database of automotive repair manuals from 1983 to 2004. The designated computer for searching these manuals is located by the Automotive Repair section of books on the first floor. Available only within the library.
• Morningstar® Investment Research Center Online database for individual investors with more than 35,000 stocks, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds.  Access is available outside the library using the first five digits of a current Hutchinson Public Library card.
• Newspaper Archive Digitized version of The Hutchinson News back to its first issue in 1872.  Also includes The Herald.  Available only within the library.
• ProQuest Newspapers Provides electronic access to historical issues of the New York Times and the Eastern edition of the Wall Street Journal. Available only within the library.
• Readers' Guide The electronic version of the print title with the same name. It is a citation database of historical periodical articles that can be used to retrieve primary sources not available in other databases. Available only within the library.
• Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage Comprehensive business and investment information, including CreditWeek. Accessible from other locations with a Hutchinson Public Library card.  Use user name "hutchpl" without the quotes and your library barcode as the password.
