Knitting and Crocheting Computer Classes

knittingsavantcoverThe Hutchinson Public Library is offering a free computer class for those interested in knitting and crocheting. It will be taught by Andrea Springer, The Knitting Savant ( Andrea is an experienced knitter and has taught hundreds of people the art of hand work.

This class will focus on ways to use technology in these ancient crafts. She will discuss various social networks and popular online resources for fiber artists during the class. You’ll leave with information on the latest trends, ideas on how to keep track of needles, hooks and yarn, and how to find help late at night.

She will demonstrate social networks such as Ravelry, Nimblestix and others. You’ll see how to get the most out of these sites to enjoy your own fiber art work even more.

The class will be offered twice:
4/1/2014 at 6:30 p.m.
4/10/2014 at 10 a.m.
