Dedication for “Rival Readers” Sculpture

The Hutchinson Public Library will host a dedication ceremony for the “Rival Readers” sculpture on Saturday, June 29, 2013. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. outside the Main Street entrance of the Library, 901 North Main Street.

The sculpture was one of the pieces which was part of the inaugural SculptureWalk 2012, and was temporarily located at the corner of 1st and Main Streets near Allie’s Deli. The Bob, Ann, and Jack Bush family generously purchased the sculpture of two children reading and agreed to place it on permanent loan to the Library. The Friends of the Hutchinson Public Library have provided the funds to purchase the base for the piece.

The public is invited to join us in celebrating this occasion. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Annette at the Hutchinson Public Library, 620-663-5441.
