Video Production Workshop For Teens

We occasionally offer teen video workshops. Watch here or check our Facebook page for information. Applications forms will be available online and at Hutchinson Public Library.

YA Summer Reading Program

The 2013 teen summer reading program, "Quest for Readalot," runs from May 24th through August 1st. Register at one of the library's circulation desk. Fill out weekly prize drawing slips for each book, each two magazines or comics, each hour you read, or each audiobook you listen to. Teen Coffeehouse

Teen coffeehouses are scheduled periodically in the library's auditorium. The next coffeehouse is scheduled for Sunday, May 5th, 2-4pm, in the library's auditorium. Teens can participate by reading their own poems or others' poems. They can also read their own stories, perform skits, and/or sing. Snacks and beverages are provided. Winning computer art and photographs from our recent Teen Creativity Contest are now on display in the auditorium, and will be up through May 17th. Teen Tech Week

Teen Tech Week is generally held the first week in March, with tech-related activities geared specifically for teens. Watch here or check our Facebook page.

Creativity Contest

The annual teen creativity contest runs March 1-31. Teens may enter computer art, photography, poems, and short stories. Monetary prizes are awarded for each first, second, and third place. CLICK HERE for a copy of the entry form.

YA Advisory Board

Hutchinson Public Library's Young Adult Advisory Board helps plan programs and activities of interest to area teens. Each year, the library needs new members for its YA Advisory Board. Applications for new YA Board members are taken each May. Application forms are available at the library, or CLICK HERE for a copy of the application.
