Read To Rover
Held the second Thursday of each month, from 6-7pm, Read to Rover allows children to read to dogs from the Hutchinson Kennel Club/Therapy Dogs Incorporated, for at least 15 minutes. Libraries and school nationwide offer similar programs as a way to motivate children to read, to read more often, and to attempt more difficult books. These programs can especially aid struggling readers who feel more secure reading aloud in a non-judgmental setting.
